Meet the Founder

Hi, I'm Lorne Kallstrom, founder of Camp Fish Backcountry.

This brand was born around a campfire in the fall of 2024, but its roots go much deeper than that. Long before there was a website, a logo, or a t-shirt design, there was a kid who couldn't wait to get outside.

 

 

 

 

Like many outdoor enthusiasts, some of my earliest and most treasured memories were made around lakes, campfires, and winding forest trails. Fishing trips with family, weekends spent camping, and countless hours exploring nature helped shape who I am today. Those experiences taught me to appreciate adventure, self-reliance, and the simple joy of spending time outdoors.

With the encouragement and support of my wife, who remains my trusted advisor and design consultant, I decided to turn that lifelong passion into something I could share with others.

Camp Fish Backcountry was created to celebrate the outdoor lifestyle and the people who live it.

Built From Real Outdoor Experiences

One of my favorite memories comes from a summer spent at the lake with my brother and a friend. We built a floating raft that became our own private swimming platform. One afternoon, while exploring beneath it with a snorkel, I came face to face with a school of curious bass.

Armed with little more than determination and a fishing net, I somehow managed to catch one underwater. It was my very first bass.

Moments like that stay with you. They're the stories that get retold around campfires, remembered on future fishing trips, and passed down through generations. They're also the moments that inspire many of the designs you'll find here.

The outdoors has a unique way of creating memories that last a lifetime. Camp Fish Backcountry exists to celebrate those experiences.

We believe a great t-shirt can be more than something you wear.

Our designs are inspired by fishing, camping, backcountry exploration, and a deep appreciation for the natural world. Some are nostalgic. Some are adventurous. Some simply capture the feeling of being outdoors where life feels a little simpler.

To help reduce waste, every shirt is printed to order using water-based, eco-friendly inks. By producing only what is needed, we minimize overproduction while creating apparel designed to be worn and enjoyed for years to come.
